About the Role

Sureel AI is building the standards and infrastructure for AI rights, licensing, attribution, protection, and intelligence, starting in music and expanding across media. Acquired by Warner Music Group, Sureel operates as an independent, federated company. As Lead, Client Partnerships, reporting to the two Co-Presidents, you will lead Sureel's client and partnership function, owning senior rights-holder relationships from commercial handoff through pilot, onboarding, adoption, and expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Sureel's most important rights-holder relationships, building trust with senior leaders and understanding their priorities and AI rights strategies
  • Lead partners through pilots and implementations, coordinating testing, data reviews, product feedback, and onboarding
  • Understand how rights-holders use Sureel, where they see value and friction, and what would improve the platform
  • Bring partner needs into product development, translating requirements into clear input for Product, Engineering, and AI
  • Translate Sureel's attribution and payout models for partners, helping rights-holders understand the data
  • Identify patterns across partner conversations to distinguish individual requests from broader needs
  • Own the quality of partner-facing data and reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Identify opportunities to deepen relationships, including new use cases and increased platform adoption
  • Represent Sureel in senior partner meetings and industry settings, including with Warner Music Group counterparts
  • Work closely with leadership on client strategy across the partner network

Requirements

  • Deep experience in music rights, metadata, and/or collective management, understanding splits, share pictures, composition vs. recording rights, and how CMOs and publishers pay members
  • Experience building and managing senior relationships with rights-holders, clients, partners, or other industry stakeholders
  • Comfortable with data and technical detail, able to read datasets and explain them clearly to non-technical partners
  • Builds trust quickly, represents leadership, and makes sound judgment calls
  • Clear communicator, calm in a fast-moving environment
  • Nice to have: experience with artists, labels, publishers, CMOs/PROs, or music-tech/metadata companies; involvement in industry metadata or rights standards initiatives; experience with Google Workspace, CRM and Concur
