About the Role
UMG is seeking a Senior Observability Engineer to architect, build and lead a comprehensive observability strategy ensuring the reliability, performance and scalability of critical IT systems across the global technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and strategic roadmap for the observability stack
- Evaluate, select and implement observability tools such as Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana
- Conduct deep-dive analysis of telemetry data to identify bottlenecks and guide capacity planning
- Act as a technical leader and mentor for the observability team and wider engineering groups
- Drive incident and problem management, leading post-incident reviews and long-term solutions
Requirements
- Strong experience architecting observability solutions in hybrid and cloud-native environments
- Hands-on experience with modern monitoring, logging and tracing tools
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
