About the Role
Universal Music UK's Legal & Business Affairs team is seeking a Senior Legal & Business Affairs Manager to provide legal and business affairs support relating to artist and brand merchandise, retail partnerships and e-commerce activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate artist merchandise agreements, including new deals, renewals and extensions
- Draft and negotiate brand licence agreements and strategic brand partnerships
- Draft and negotiate retail, e-commerce, venue merchandise and pop-up store agreements
- Oversee legal deal approvals, option diaries and rights management documentation
- Provide day-to-day legal support for merchandise and e-commerce projects across the labels
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, ideally in music, media or entertainment law
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
