TicketSwap, a ticket marketplace with over 20 million users across 42 countries, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer Backend in Amsterdam (hybrid) to build the PHP-based APIs and platform that power fan-to-fan ticket trading.

About the role

You will build APIs and product features, improve the reliability and scalability of the platform and contribute to event-driven and asynchronous systems. Current projects include expanding ticket file type support, improving SecureSwap integrations and rebuilding event creation flows.

Tech stack

PHP, Symfony, MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, GraphQL, AWS and Kubernetes.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong PHP and relational database skills.
Familiarity with Git.
A plus: Symfony, React, mobile, AWS, Kubernetes and DevOps experience.

Practical details

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (hybrid)
Full-time (32-40 hours per week), fixed-term, Product Engineering department (Function Group 7 or 8 depending on experience)
Salary: EUR 53,000 - 97,500 per year
You must be based in the Netherlands, hold an EU passport, or already have a valid Dutch work visa. No relocation support is offered.
