About the Role
The Internationalisation team within Spotify's Platform division focuses on making Spotify feel local everywhere, building systems that support language, localization workflows, cultural adaptation, and feature rollouts across 180+ markets globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve platforms enabling localization and global content delivery
- Build frontend and backend solutions for global product shipping
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on internationalization integration
- Create developer tooling, documentation, and self-serve frameworks
- Drive technical direction for initiatives impacting millions of users worldwide
- Enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability
Requirements
- 5+ years producing production-grade software as a fullstack engineer
- Proficiency with React and backend languages (Java, Kotlin, TypeScript)
- Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable architecture
- Experience designing globally-scaled, localized systems
- Strong developer experience focus
- Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
