Muse Group (Hal Leonard) is looking for a detail-oriented Royalty Manager to run its royalty operations: the statement cycle, accurate calculations and timely payments, plus royalty contracts and data. Based in Cyprus or elsewhere in Europe, working in a distributed team across US and European time zones.

What you'll do

Run the US royalty statement cycle: data preparation, calculation checks, review and release of statements on schedule
Set up and maintain royalty contracts, payees, rates and splits in the royalty system
Reconcile royalty accruals and payments with Finance; prepare payment files and month/quarter-end reports
Handle inquiries from authors, composers, publishers and agents; resolve statement discrepancies
Support internal and licensor/author royalty audits
Work with Licensing, Legal, Finance and Content teams on new and amended agreements
Document processes and take part in automation and AI initiatives of the Global Royalty team

What we're looking for

3+ years in royalty administration or accounting, ideally in music publishing, print music or book publishing
Understanding of royalty contract terms: rates, advances, recoupment, reserves, splits, sub-publishing
Strong Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and experience with large data sets; SQL or legacy ERP/royalty systems (AS/400) is a plus
High accuracy and attention to detail; able to own a deadline-driven cycle
Clear written and verbal communication in English with external payees and internal stakeholders
Comfortable working in a distributed team across time zones (US / Europe)
