Engineering Manager - Data Platform

As Engineering Manager, you'll shape Epidemic Sound's data product strategy, with real freedom to experiment with new tooling and processes in the age of agents. The Data Platform team sets the technical direction for how Epidemic Sound works with data. This role is hybrid, based at the Stockholm HQ, with the expectation of spending the majority of time in the office with the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own team health, individual growth, and delivery for the Data Platform team
• Align the platform's roadmap with the broader engineering and data strategy
• Stay hands-on, contributing directly to the team's day-to-day work
• Partner closely with engineering and product leaders company-wide to align platform direction with their needs
• Manage relationships with third-party suppliers supporting the data platform

Requirements

• A few years of experience as an Engineering Manager, able to turn ambiguous, high-level plans into tangible, actionable work
• Proven experience building and maintaining data platforms
• Willingness to work hands-on as an individual contributor when needed
• An independent mindset paired with strong communication skills
• Experience with BigQuery, GCS, Airflow (Cloud Composer), Pub/Sub, and Snowplow
• Experience with data modeling (dbt) is a plus
