About the Role

Believe's Core Engineering team is seeking a Staff Engineer, Agentic AI to design and build the systems behind intelligent automation, agentic workflows and large-scale retrieval, consumed by engineering, product, data and business teams across ~50 countries.

Key Responsibilities

Build the enterprise agentic framework: orchestration, retrieval and multi-agent collaboration, tool/MCP integration, human-in-the-loop checkpoints
Write production-grade code across production services, experimentation harnesses and internal tooling
Make AI systems measurable and trustworthy: golden datasets, evals, regression suites in CI, guardrails, tracing and telemetry
Set standards for security and system design, bringing structural decisions to the Engineering Committee
Raise the level of the team through code reviews, design docs, workshops and mentoring

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Python, Java, GCP (incl. Vertex AI), Kubernetes and Kafka
Experience building reliable, observable production AI/ML systems at scale
Strong technical writing, teaching and cross-team influence skills
