About the Role
Apple's Music Apps team is looking for a Technical Writer or Content Designer to drive customer-facing text experiences across Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage and companion apps, pairing writing craft and hands-on music production expertise with LLM-assisted content workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own customer-facing text deliverables across Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage and companion apps (Help docs, learning materials, instructional features, in-app UX strings)
- Use LLM technologies and prompt-assisted workflows to accelerate text generation, critically reviewing output for voice, tone and accuracy
- Craft intuitive UI strings, tooltips, onboarding flows and instructional features
- Partner with design, engineering and product teams to convert complex technical concepts into workflow-driven guidance
- Develop scalable solutions to help beginner and professional musicians learn the products
- Collaborate with international teams across overlapping milestones and release cycles
Requirements
- Professional experience in the music tech industry in a customer communication role (technical writing, UX writing/content design, instructional design)
- Proven ability to write clear in-app UX strings, instructional guides and Help documentation
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools, prompt engineering and LLM-assisted content pipelines
- Deep knowledge of music production workflows on iOS/macOS; hands-on experience with Logic Pro, GarageBand or MainStage strongly preferred
- Proficient with content management/version control systems (Git/SVN)
